Consul General of India in Guangzhou Visited GIIS

       On April 30th, 2019,Ghosh, consul general of India in Guangzhou and his delegation paid a visit. Professor Li Qing from GIIS met with them at conference room 304 of GIIS. The two sides had a deep exchange of views on the cooperation and the construction of think tanks.

Professor Li Qing conveyed a warm welcome towards the delegates and gave a brief introduction to the development of GIIS. She pointed out that in the past ten years since its founding, GIIS has been constantly conducting thorough researches in basic disciplines, focusing on global economic governance, neighboring diplomacy and global value chains. Professor Li Qing also introduced the cooperation between GIIS and India’s think tanks, and hoped to expand the existing channels and conduct more systematic researches with India’s think tanks on China-India economic cooperation.



        Ghosh expressed his gratitude to GIIS for its reception, and pointed out the cooperation between India’s top think tanks and GIIS will be enhanced in the future, and he made an introduction to India’s think tanks on economics. Ghosh said that the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou will strongly support the cooperation between China’s and India’s think tanks, hoping to conduct substantive cooperation in joint research and researchers’ communication in the future.
