我院与丹麦奥尔堡大学政治与社会系于2024年5月签署的合作备忘录。根据备忘录内容，双方开展了学生交流项目，其中第一批来自奥尔堡大学的交流生已顺利来访，并成功完成了为期三个月交流实习及广外生活。
丹麦奥尔堡大学国际政治学硕士二年级学生Gustav Munk Larsen先生和Reagan Cheong先生于2024年9月抵达广州，开始他们在广东国际战略研究院的交流实习。两位学生参与到了我院欧洲研究中心赖雪仪副教授的研究及教授工作中，这是他们首次访问广州，对Gustav来说，更是他首次踏足中国。
在9月至11月的三个月时间里，Gustav和Reagan与赖雪仪副教授合作完成了关于中丹风电合作、中国对外形象、东盟国家电动汽车市场状况等三项研究。这些研究成果在中国社科院欧洲所及北京航空航天大学比荷卢研究中心举办的学术会议上发表，取得了良好的反馈。
此外，Gustav和Reagan还担任了欧洲研究中心《欧洲学经典阅读》课程的助教，他们对欧洲及欧盟成员国丹麦的深入了解丰富了课堂内容。同时，对于专注于中国研究的他们来说，参与中国学生的欧洲学课堂，不仅让他们深入欧洲研究、加入比较视角了解欧盟和中国，还让他们结识了更多的中国朋友，并惊喜地发现中国有一批年轻人对欧洲学的知识水平甚至高于欧洲大部分年轻人。
在工作之余，Gustav开始了中文学习之旅，而Reagan则获得了更多练习和提升中文的机会。两位交流生也充分利用机会体验广东的饮食文化和游览广州的名胜古迹，使得三个月的交流实习生活充实而有意义。
此次交流实习的圆满完成，不仅加深了我院与丹麦奥尔堡大学之间的学术合作，也为双方学生提供了宝贵的跨文化学习和研究机会，进一步推动了两校在学术和文化领域的交流与合作。
交流生心得
Mr. Gustav Munk Larsen: Spending three months at GIIS has been an incredible experience. As someone from Denmark, it was my first time in China, and living in Guangzhou allowed me to immerse myself in the city's vibrant culture. I was struck by the warmth and openness of the people, who made me feel welcomed from the start. Attending conferences and working on projects like China-Europe relations and energy cooperation has been a fantastic opportunity to grow both academically and professionally. I am especially grateful to Dr. Cher Lai for her kindness and support as my supervisor, making my time here even more rewarding. This experience has been unforgettable, and I will always cherish the lessons and connections I have made.
Mr. Reagan Cheong: Spending three months in Guangzhou has been such a special experience for me. I am grateful for the opportunity to join the European Reading Studies class with Chinese students under Dr. Cher Lai. Participating in the International Think Tank Forum of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road hosted by GIIS also gave me interesting perspectives from countries across the Global South, which broadened my view on the world. During my time here, I also worked on my project, inspired by electric vehicles (EVs) that I observed on the roads in China, particularly around how this rapid transition could be applied to Malaysia. Additionally, as a Malaysian with Chinese heritage, especially from Guangdong, living here felt so different from just visiting as a tourist. Interacting with locals every day and connecting with people from different countries gave me a fresh perspective on the world, far beyond what I was used to. The people here are incredibly friendly, and honestly, the food never disappointed me even once.
