On the afternoon of November 17th, So Sung-Gyu, the director of Publicity Department of Dae Jin University of Republic of Korea and Cho Dae-won, the director of the University Office, Cho Dong-hyun, the chief of Regional Economic Section of Pocheon , Kim Nan-hoon, the Enterprise support chief of Economic Section and Lee Geun-hyeong, civil servant of Economic Section visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and signed interdisciplinary research project cooperation agreement with Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies. Li Qing, secretary-general of GRIIS, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, Wu Junfeng, deputy director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Cai Hongthe executive deputy director of Center for European Studies met the guests in the Third Conference Room in North Campus.
The two sides communicated on the time of academic exchange meetings and the research team building mainly on the Korean business environment. Li Qing commented the three seminars held between Foshan and Pocheon as deepening the understanding of the firms and opening a new channel for exchange and cooperation in two cities. The two sides would know and study business environment of the two cities from two perspectives.
So Sung-Gyu mentioned that the year of 2012 saw the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea and the 20th anniversary of Dae Jin University. The sustainable exchange between the two universities would lay foundation to the communications of the two countries.
Lee Geun-hyeong said that Dae Jin University was located in Pocheon which was in the capital region headed by Seoul. This region possesses great potential in attracting investment. He saw the perspective that GDUFS took to study the business environment of Korea and hoped for more fruitful research results.
After the meeting, GRIIS and Dae Jin University signed interdisciplinary research project cooperation agreement and took souvenir pictures.
