In the morning of July 6th, PhD superviser Wang Shouyang, the excellent researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of Chinese Academy of Sciences Prediction Science Research Center and PhD superviser Li Xinchun, doctor of economic of Humboldt University at Berlin and professor of School of Management of Sun Yat-Sen University were employed as GRIIS chief researchers outside Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
Professor Wang had published 22 works with scholars at home and abroad in recent five years (including 9 English ones published by Springer-Verlag) and 84 papers on the academic journals in Europe and the United States. He also has promoted more than 150 research reports to the departments of China, of which more than 120 are adopted and over 50 are approved by the national leaders. Some of his advice on policy-making has been adopted as the government policy. He hosts three decision-making supporting system or economic early-warning system for the government departments and provides important platform and tools for the scientific decision-making and effective management.
Professor Li obtained the economic PhD degree in 1995 in Humboldt University. He studies on the strategies and organizations of the enterprises and the development of the family enterprises.
Chief researcher Wang Shouyang hosted the workshop on the research method of decision-making consulting report in the afternoon of July 6th. The workshop was hosted by Gu Yeli, vice president of GDUFS. Professor Wang approved of the integration of qualitative and quantitative research method promoted by Qian Xuesen. What is more important is how to integrate. He made contributions with the TEI@I research method which systematically combines text mining, economics and artificial intelligence. This method has been adopted in the prediction of the oil price, grain production of China and disaster warning, the precision of which has been highly recognized in the international academic circle.
Professor Wang provides suggestions on how to write consulting report for decision-making from six perspectives: how to choose topic, how to research, how to write, how to recommend, problems to notice, and suggestions. The speech was vivid with fresh examples. The seminar ended in an active atmosphere.
