From June 5th to 6th, at the invitation from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies, attended the 2012 APEC Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit in Beijing at the theme of “All About your Dreams”.
On June 5th, there were four theme forums in the afternoon. Each forum was independent while connecting to another one. The first forum was chaired by Huang Lilu, president of Zhisland. Representatives are Xia Hua, president of Eve Group, Sun Taoran, president of Lakala, Yao Jingbo, president of 58.com, Tu Zhiyun, managing director of Legend Capital and Wang Junfeng, president of the credit rating professional--Sino.
The representatives thought that the enterprises should be creative and persistent. They should establish the right way of development and build a competent team. The first forum ended in the agreement that starting business and chasing dreams were the most romantic work at present.
The topic of the second forum is “Angels’ Value-- Help Youngsters Fly with Dreams”. It is chaired by Shen Yin, Chief Editor of Ecshe & Founder of NTA. Guests are Xue Manzi, a famous angel investor, Niu Wenwen, chief editor of Entrepreneur magazine, Li Yong, Chief Editor of Netease, Wang Xiao, one of the founders of Baidu.com and Lu Gang from Legend Star.
Representatives in this forum agreed on the following points: Interest goes first for angel investors. Investors should pay attention to their limits, and invest in the right place at a right time. They should attach great importance to team building. A team should be natural, social, legal&moral and professional. Investors should equip themselves with logical judgment, leadership, sensibility and foresight.
Mr Lv, Zhao hosted the third theme forum called “Stand on the Shoulders of Giants-- Mentor for Starting Grass-roots NGO”. Guests included Xu Yongguang, the Founder of the Project Hope &Chairman of Narada Foundation, Zhang Ruilin, Founder of the “Dialogue in the Dark”, Zheng Weining, Chairman of“Can You” and Deng Fei, Founder of “Free Lunch”
NGO leaders shared their ideas on how to promotion the development of NGO in today’s society. They called for social responsibility and attention to the public welfare. Internet is deemed as an important access for the promotion of NGO. They also pointed out that profit never came as the sole concern in social enterprises. More attention should be paid to the enterprises’ social mission.
The topic for discussion of the fourth forum was “Fashion Changes Our Life”. Xu Wei, the executive publisher & chief editor of COSMO hosted the forum. Guests included Li Dongtian, president of Tony Studio, Liu Jiang, president of Trends Group, Ma Yanli , president of Maryma Haute Douture, and Xu Cong, a famous ikebana artist from Taiwan.
They shared with audience the law of fashion: fashion comes before popularization and popularization comes after prevalence. Things that are popular now will become classic in the future.
In the morning of June 6th, Wang Lifen, a famous column producer& founder of Umivi.com hosted the first forum at the theme of “The new generation of entrepreneurs---chances for us”. Participants in the dialogue included Du Kui, the general director of Beijing Development Training Co., LTD, Wang Shutong, CEO of DHgate.com, Wang Jialiang, CEO of TouchPal and two young graduate entrepreneurs Cai Xing and Zhang Yuangang.
Ms. Wang’s intelligence and candor in hosting the forum encouraged both the senior and young entrepreneurs to share their own ideas on innovation and entrepreneurship. They termed innovation as the technological means to define people’s life.
Another forum held in the morning was called “Genes of innovation---Picasso and Steve Jobs”.
In the afternoon of June 6th, on behalf of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Mr. Liu Jisen attended activities of the project--China GPS, which is organized by VTM international fund. Mr. Liu had an in-depth communication with Noel Gould, CEO of China GPS and learnt about the history and recent development of the project as well as the requirements of introducing the project.
