On Sep.19th, Professor Li Ke, tenured professor in Nihon University Business School, director and chairman of the Sino-Japanese School of Management, and chairman of The Association for International Promotion of Japanese Economy and Technology, gave the lecture of “Comparison of industrial restructuring between the United States and Japan” in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He compared “Chinese mode”, “Japanese mode”, and “American mode”, and elaborated on major theories like “middle-income trap”, “late-mover advantage”, “bringing-in and going-out”. The lecture was fruitful and well-received by the audience.

This afternoon, the scholar of GDUFS also presented a wonderful class. Professor Zuo Liancun of GDUFS, having studied in University of Delhi, Delhi School of Economics, and acting as director of Chinese Association for South Asian Studies and visiting scholar in many nations, gave a special report entitled “Industrial policy adjustment and industrial structure evolution in India”. Professor Zuo introduced the basic national conditions in India, the evolution and characters of Industrial policy before and after independence, and its revelation for China. After the symposium, Professor Zuo answered questions from the audience. The lecture proved a great success.
