As he noted, GRIIS, as an important think tank focused on international relations, international economy and finance, has successfully held the academic seminars supported by the provincial government and high-end forums such as China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Strategic Cooperation Forum. He hoped that the establishment of the Center for Indian Studies would become an opportunity for Prof. Chintamani to join the academic research of the Center and set up close relations for the two sides.
Prof. Chintamani introduced the situation of Jawaharlal Nehru University, especially the International Studies School. He said that the global cooperation was unavoidable and effective for the economic growth. The lack of communication would result in disputes. Therefore, China and India, as two big powers in the world, should enhance exchanges and communication. He thought the University should be a base for talents cultivation and think tank for the country which supported the development. He would make efforts to build the connection, promote the development of the two universities and provide information for the Institute.
