From Nov. 10th to 11th , 2012, the 3rd International Political Economy Forum of China and the Academic Seminar of Emerging Economy Entities and International Relations was held jointly by Fudan University and Shanghai International Studies University. More than 80 scholars from Institute of World Economics and Politics Research of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Research Institute for Regional and Global Strategies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai International Studies University, Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Jilin University, Tongji University, University of International Business and Economics and other famous universities and research organizations attended the annual meeting. Prof. Li Qing, general secretary of GRIIS, chief research fellow Tang Xiaosong and research fellow Chen Yonglin were invited to the Seminar.
The leaders of Fudan University and Shanghai International Studies University made warm welcome speeches in the beginning. Prof. Wang Zhengyi, director of International Political Economy Department of Peking University, who is the first in China to carry out IPE teaching and researching, and Prof. Huang Renwei, director of the Research Institute for International Relations and Foreign Affairs of Shanghai International Studies University, made the keynote speeches respectively entitled "the Disciplinary Development and Research Situation of IPE" and "Hegemony System, Global Governance System and IPE". Later, the meeting was divided into 20 parallel sessions under four themes of emerging economies and global governance, development mode and development prospects of emerging economies, emerging economies and major international issues and competition and cooperation between emerging economies. The scholars made extensive discussion and communication at the meeting. Prof. Li Qing and Tang Xiaosong made comments and had discussion on the parallel sessions.
Finally, the Meeting decided the 4th International Political Economy Forum of China to be held by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
