On the morning of 4th June, Dr. Klaus Ebermann, the former EU Ambassador to China and the visiting researcher of GRIIS, gave a special report of “Development Trend of Europe and EU’s Future Development Strategy”. In the report, he compared the situation of EU reported by the media with that in the reality at first, and then talked about the solutions, mistakes and experience that EU had learned during the European debt crisis. At last, from a personal perspective, Dr. Klaus Ebermann gave some suggestions on the management of financial market. This provided the students some detailed information about EU’s future development.

In the afternoon, Prof. Li Huiwu, the deputy director of Development Research Center of Guangdong Provincial People's Government and visiting professor of GDUFS, gave a special report of “Guangdong’s Exploration in the New Period”. Professor Li introduced the situation of industrial transformation and upgrading in Guangdong and promoted that “Happy Guangdong” should be established in six aspects, namely innovation, modern industry system, regional coordination, coordination of needs both inside and outside, green development and issues of agriculture, rural areas and peasants.
