On the morning of June 3rd, 2013 Seminar for Analyzing Frontier Economic Issues in China was held in GDUFS. The seminar was sponsored by Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee and organized by GRIIS. Zhang Hui, the deputy minister of 0rganization Department of Provincial Party Committee and Luo Song, the director of the Cadres Training Division of Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee both attended the opening ceremony. Sui Guangjun, the Party secretary and Gu Yeli, the vice president of GDUFS, addressed the ceremony.
Sui Guangjun Talked with Zhang Hui before the opening ceremony
“We will have another 47 outstanding schoolfellow in GDUFS since today.” Sui Guangjun welcomed all the students in his speech. He pointed out that the Organization Department always paid high attention to the training of leading cadres. Under the new situation of the economic transformation, how to face the new problems and challenges of Chinese economy is a meaningful and realistic issue. So the seminar has a great significance in improving the leading cadres’ knowledge and understanding to the frontier economic issues in China.
Sui Guangjun Addressed the Ceremony
“In recent years, our university pays high attention to the China’s important strategy and the current needs of Guangdong, focuses on the frontier economic issues, provides consultation service to governments, gained achievements and experience, and developed a lot of talents.” The university would well organize the seminar and carry out the important strategic plan made by Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee.
Zhang Hui specially emphasized the importance of selecting classes according to practice. “It fully embodies the idea of ‘people-oriented’. It also realized the organic combination of different kinds of training methods.” He introduced the new competitive mechanism and reforms and affirmed the achievements of GDUFS. He laid claim to four requirements to the 47 students on behalf of the Department. He hoped that the students would spare no efforts in studying the subject.

After the opening ceremony, there is the first keynote speech by Prof. Sheng Bin from the economic department in Nankai University. He talked about the problems of China’s foreign trade development strategy in the new period. In the following four days, the experts in relative fields at home and abroad will further communicate on the frontier economic issues in China.
