On the morning of 23rd September, Professor Chintamani Mahapatra of Jawaharlal Nehru University was invited to GRIIS, discussed and reached agreements on the academic exchange and cooperation between the International Relationship Faculty of Jawaharlal Nehru University and GRIIS.
The agreements are as follows. First, to co-organize “the 1st International Conference on the Cooperation and Development of Indian Ocean Area”; second, to invite Professor Chintamani Mahapatra to be the visiting professor of GRIIS, special consultant of Indian Studies Centre and “Yunshan Scholar” candidate of GDUFS; Third, to apply for international projects together and strengthen international cooperation. They also exchanged ideas on other topics both interested.
The meeting was hosted by Prof. Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS. Dr. Song Haixiao, researcher of Indian Studies Centre also attended the meeting.
