On the morning of 17th September, Prof. Rishard Debicki, vice president of Portland University of Madame Curie and Prof. Mark Pietras, the head of Department of Political Science in this university visited GRIIS. Cai Hong, deputy secretary general of GRIIS and director of Center for European Studies and Wu Yan in the secretariat had a friendly talk with the guests.
Cai Hong introduced the establishing background, research fields and experts of GRIIS to the guests. After the introduction, the guests said that the University of Madame Curie and GRIIS had good conditions to cooperate in the fields of academic research and talent cultivation. Both sides could make use of the academic resource and platform to establish international cooperation. At the same time, the guests also suggested cooperating in the fields of European studies, low carbon and energy-saving, scholars’ visits, postgraduate education, periodical publication and EU projects application.
After the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to accelerate the pace of academic cooperation and build a new bridge for academic communication between China and Portland.
