On the afternoon of 28th August 2013, GRIIS hold a meeting of all researchers at the meeting room. Sui Guangjun, the Party secretary of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the executive deputy director of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies, Fang Yingsheng, the director of Organization Department, Hu Wentao, the director of Publicity Department of the Party Committee of GDUFS, Chen Weiguang, director of Development and Planning Department, Yang Aimin, director of Scientific Research Department, Sun Jiahe, the director of Finance Department, the doctoral supervisors of Center for European Studies and all the researchers of GRIIS attended the meeting. Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS hosted the meeting.
First of all, Yang Aimin appreciated the achievements and contributions GRIIS had made to GDUFS. Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, reviewed the research achievements and working process of the researchers and GRIIS. Li Qing explained the working plans of GRIIS in this semester. After that, all the presenters actively gave some practical suggestions on the development and administrative mechanism of GRIIS. Finally, Sui Guangjun emphasized that, at this time, it’s important to be cautious and have a sense of crisis. The main aims of GRIIS should include building a better platform, attracting the talents, focusing on the reform and making more achievements. It’s also important to clarify the purpose of GRIIS on the present basis, to carry out the planning of promotional activities and to collect advice on how to build the platform.
