Sui Guangjun, the Party secretary of GDUFS and the executive deputy director of GRIIS, was invited to attend the 2013 Year-end Situation Seminar for Experts and Scholars organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 19th. Assistant Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang presided over the seminar. Ten prestigious experts from all over the country were invited to deliver speeches. Prof. Sui Guangjun, on behalf of the expert team of GDUFS talked about “the International Economic Development of This Year and Its Impact on GDUFS and Countermeasure Suggestions”. Professor Xiao Yaofei, chief editor of "International Economics and Trade Research” and chief researcher of GRIIS, also attended the seminar.
Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies has undertaken major foreign policy projects of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for two consecutive years since 2012. The research reports were spoken highly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and adopted by some of government departments. The seminar invitation shows that it has great confidence in GRIIS and wants further cooperation. It is said that expert team of GDUFS will issue research reports at the end of every year from 2013. Members of the team make researches on different fields, such as economics and international politics and are expected to provide the government of Guangdong with strategic decision-making support.
