On the morning of Dec. 9th, a delegation of GRIIS led by Liu Jisen, the deputy secretary general and including Prof. Stephen Nicholas, Yunshan Chair Professor of GDUFS and Emeritus Professor of University of Newcastle, and Prof. Xiao Kuixi of School of International Trade and Economics, visited Sino-Italian Industrial Park which is under construction in Yunfu. Chen Yongcai, deputy director of Foreign Trade and Economy Bureau of Yunfu, received the delegation, introduced the industrial park and elaborated on the construction plan.

Huang Zhihao, vice mayor of Yunfu, met with Stephen Nicholas after the visit. He introduced the background and orientation of the industrial park and the advantages of Yunfu. Prof. Nicholas provided suggestions to the industrial park, such as introducing the design, marketing, and brand of Italian stone industries to expand industrial chain, increase added value of products and promote the industrial transfer and upgrading of Yunfu.
