According to the "Notice of Guangdong Provincial Department of Education about the First Collaborative Innovation Platforms (Guangdong Educational and Scientific letter﹝2014﹞No.26)", Guangdong "Going Global" Collaborative Innovation Center of GDUFS has been selected as a provincial collaborative innovation center for regional development and cultivation and construction.
Since the launching of the State “2011 Plan”, GDUFS has paid high attention to it. The “2011 Plan” of GDUFS has been implemented and Guangdong "Going Global" Collaborative Innovation Center has been established on July 6, 2013 through the joint efforts of Development and Planning Department and Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies.
In December, 2013, the application for Provincial Collaborative Innovation Platform was launched by Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. The application of GDUFS was led by Development and Planning Department and jointly implemented by Department of Scientific Research, Department of Personnel and GRIIS, during which leaders of GDUFS, including Sui Guangjun, the Party secretary of GDUFS and Zhong Weihe, the president of GDUFS, participated in person the preparation of the application materials.
