On the afternoon of March 19, a delegation of six people from Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou Municipality, led by Chen Lei, the deputy director of the Bureau came to GRIIS and had a discussion meeting on such issues as the plan and practice of promoting the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong’s foreign trade and economies. Participants of GRIIS include Professor Xiao Yaofei, chief researcher of GRIIS, Chu Maoming, Counselor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and visiting researcher of GRIIS, Prof. Hong Shihong, “Yunshan Scholar” of GDUFS, Prof. Chen Wangling, researcher of GRIIS, and Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS. At the meeting, Chen Lei introduced the plan and practice of promoting the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong’s foreign trade and economies and seizing the commanding heights of economy. Then, experts of GRIIS made some suggestions.
