GRIIS Held the Second Thematic Meeting on the Construction of Guangdong “Going-Global” Database

On March 14, GRIIS held the Second Thematic Meeting on the Construction of Guangdong “Going-Global” Database. Qiao Wanlin, director of Educational Technology Center, Yang Chengjie, Vice Librarian of the School Library, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, experts on the construction of database and representatives from DRCnet, EPSnet, BVD (Bureau van Dijk), Wind Information Co., Ltd (Wind Info) were present at the meeting, which was chaired by Yang Chengjie. The participants had an in-depth discussion on the construction of Guangdong “Going-Global” platform and database.
At first, representatives from database companies introduced the main function of their platforms respectively. Qiao Wanlin pointed out that this meeting focuses more on how to build the supporting platform and database for the Collaborating and Innovation Center of Guangdong “Going-Global” Studies, while Liu Jisen expressed his hope to hear more professional ideas from the perspective of technological development.
Then, the working group for the construction of Guangdong “going-global” database had a further discussion. Liu Jisen pointed out that we should build a database with our own distinctive features and settle down a working schedule.
