On August 18, 2014, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, attended the 2014 annual conference of the China-US Economic Association in Suifenhe, which is also a seminar on the development trend of China-America-Russia economic and trade relations in the context of globalization. The annual conference of this year is hosted by Chinese and American Economic Association and organized by People’s Government of Suifenhe, Department of World Economics of Wuhan University and Shanghai Normal University. They discussed about the development trend of Chinese and American economy and the China-America-Russia economic and trade relations, which is of practical significance for China’s strategy-making in its participation in global economic development and rebalance.
In the afternoon, Liu Jisen delivered a speech on “the trend of American industries and characteristics of technology choices”. He analyzed the development trend of six major American industries and summarized the characteristics of American government’s promoting policies for the development of those industries.
