On November 14th, the Workshop on “Analysis and Prospect of Current Economic Situation” came to the end successfully. The 5-day workshop was held by Organization Department of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and GRIIS of GDUFS and had 8 major reports. The experts and students discussed on the current situation and the development trend of the economy at home and abroad. Guangdong has been at the crucial stage of the economic and social transformation and upgrading. Accordingly, they also gave advice on how Guangdong can achieve better and faster economic and social development.
Major report 1 of The Strategic Transformation of China’s Foreign Trade was made by Pei Changhong, the director of Economy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Major report 2 of The Macro Economic Situation and Prospect of China was made by Prof. Li Hongbin from School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.
Major report 3 of The Concept of Guangdong Free Trade Area was delivered by Zheng Jianrong, Deputy Director-General of Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province.
Major report 4 of Three Positionings and Two Firsts of the Development and Transformation of Guangdong Province was made by Prof. Chen Hongyu, consultant of Guangdong provincial government and former vice president of Guangdong Party School.
Major report 5 of The Investment Environment and China’s Investment in Australia was made by Guo Peng, the counsellor of Policy Planning Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and Visiting Researcher of GRIIS.
Major report 7 of the Core Connotation and Strategic Significance of the Construction of 21th century Maritime Silk Road was made by Sui Guangjun, the CPC Party secretory of GDUFS and the executive deputy director of GRIIS.
Major report 8 of The International Environment and Strategic Choice of the Rise of China was made by Zhou Fangyin, Director of Center for Neighboring Strategy Studies of GRIIS.
The students also visited Guangdong Rising Assets Management Co., Ltd (GRAM). Zhu Wei, Chairman of GRAM, introduced the situation, experience and practice of GRAM in the process of “going-global”.
At the closing ceremony of the seminar, Li Qing, headteacher of the workshop and secretary-general of GRIIS, made a conclusion speech, and Zhao Wei, monitor of the seminar and Chairman of Guangdong Nanyue Group made a speech as the student representative.
