On the morning of November 7, Luan Jianzhang, Deputy Director of Research Office of International Department Central Committee of CPC and his colleagues visited GRIIS and exchanged ideas with the researchers on the issue of “One Belt and One Road”. Sui Guangjun, the CPC Party secretory of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the executive deputy director of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies, He Chuantian, the vice president of GDUFS, Li Qing, secretary-general of GRIIS, Professor Xiao Yaofei, chief editor of International Economics and Trade Research, Chen Weiguang, director of Higher Education Centre of GDUFS and Shen Minghao, director of Center for Cantonese Merchants Research of GDUFS attended the meeting, which was hosted by He Chuantian.
Sui Guangjun expressed warm welcome to Luan Jianzhang and and his colleagues. He introduced GRIIS’s exploration of the construction of thick tank, the current situation and research fruits of the projects on the global economic governance, Guangdong “going-global” and “One Belt and One Road”.
Luan Jianzhang pointed out that we should attach importance to combine macro concepts with specific economic policies. We can also promote the cooperation between China and the neighboring countries and construct new patterns of neighboring diplomacy and the relationships between major countries.
