On October 18th, Liu Jisen, Deputy Secretary-General of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies, made a speech on the “Strategic Approach of Transformation and Upgrading of Processing Trade in Guangdong" in the Academic Exchange Center. More than 200 teachers and students attended the lecture.
During the report, Liu started with the concept of processing trade and its transformation and upgrading, elaborating the contribution of processing trade on China's economy, stressing the necessity for upgrading, discussing the problems in processing trade, and putting forward the strategic approaches for processing trade upgrading.
