The New Ideas and New Thinking Style--Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies Held an Editorial Board Member Seminar for New Thinking Mode of Development

On January 15, 2011, Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies held a "Strategic Decision Research" editorial committee and development thought seminar, discussing the academic and policy of the research institute, the running process of the journal, achievement and difficulties, problems for future development, etc. Sui Guangjun, the secretary of the party committee in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the deputy director of GRIIS delivered a speech and awarded the appointment of special international researchers for Professor Guo Xiangang. Li Qing, the secretary-general of GRIIS presided over the meeting. Qin Yaqing, professor of the communist party secretary of Beijing's Foreign College, Guo Xiangang, the editor-in-chief of the Research of International Issues in the Institute for International Issues, Wei Ling, East Asian Studies Center of Foreign Affairs University, Wang Yan, the dean of the Institute for International Education in the Foreign Affairs University, and researchers from Opening Times in Chongqing as well as the faculty of the propaganda department and related college staff attended the seminar.

Sui Guangjun analyzed the research process of the Guangdong international problems, the development direction of the Institute. He approved the achievements of research on academic and political decisions. Later, Yang Shaogang, the executive editor of "Studies on Strategic Decisions" and Li Yongning, the editor-in-chief of "Trends of the International Affairs", introduced the process of the publications and initial achievements and ideas for development respectively.

Other related leaders and experts in GGDUFS, such as Chen Weiguang, Xiao Yaofei, Xiao Hong and Tang Xiaosong also contributed their suggestions for reference for the academic development and ideas for establishing the publications.
