Sui Guangjun Paid a Visit to the Universities of South America and Was Granted Honorary Citizen

In early and mid-November, at invitation of Peru Santa Maria Catholic University, Chile St. Thomas University and Brazil Rio Grande do Norte Federal University, Sui Guangjun, Party Secretary of GDUFS, paid a visit to these three South American Colleges and Universities

On the afternoon of November 9, Sui Guangjun first came to the Confucius Institute of Peru Santa Maria Catholic University and listened to the report of Confucius Institute. Sui Guang Jun pointed out that the Santa Maria Catholic University Confucius Institute was the masterpiece of the joint efforts of two school leadership colleagues. Both sides are proud of the achievement. Sui hoped the Confucius Institute acted as a platform to strengthen the student and teacher exchanges and research cooperation.

On the morning of November 10, the two sides conducted a working meeting. After the meeting, Arequipa Mayor granted Sui Guang Jun honorary citizen of Arequipa.

On the morning of November 12, Sui Guangjun visited Chile St. Thomas University. The delegation first consulted with Mr. Robert, the school Program Director, and Dr. Carlos, the Executive Dean, and talked about the dual degree program, student exchange programs, and construction of cooperation institute. They signed the agreement of MBA dual degree program.

On the afternoon of November 16, Sui Guangjun avisited Brazil Rio Grande do Norte Federal University. Sui Guangjun described the historical development, characteristics and future plans of GDUFS. He also highlighted the universityl's international characteristics, the Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies and the cooperation with Brazilian universities. Subsequently, Sui Guangjun and Rego signed agreements of exchanges and cooperation.
