On the morning of June 2ndfrom 10:00 to 12:30, Professor Tung Bui from Schaedler Business School of University of Hawaii had a compact and fruitful meeting with experts from Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies. The meeting was held at the 3rdConference Room in North Campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The participants include Prof. Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS, Prof. Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, Prof. Yang Shaogang, executive chief editor of "Studies on Strategic Decisions", Prof. Li Yongning, chief editor of "Trends of the International Affairs", editors Prof. Wang Hai and Prof. Sun Xiangrui.
The two sides exchanged views on IT management, government and information management, crisis communication and management, APEC and other topics of common interest, and reached an initial agreement in the exchange and cooperation projects of academic journals. Professor Tung Bui showed great interest in the coming English version of the "Studies on Strategic Decisions". He promoted relevant research topics and expressed good wishes.
Dr. Tung Bui currently serves as the IT management professor of Schaedler Business School of University of Hawaii. Professor Tung Bui has published 11 books and over 200 papers. He studies on the effect of IT in the organization, especially the information management within the organizations and agent systems, and crisis management under IT support.
After the meeting, Sui Guangjun, the Party secretory of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the executive deputy director of GRIIS, met with Professor Tung Bui, and disscussed on the cooperation between the two sides. Professor Sui Guang Jun presented a souvenirs with Lingnan characteristics to Professor Tung Bui, implying that the future cooperation would be a great success!
