In early September, Professor Tang Xiaosong of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies accepted interview of "Zhenhai Interview" of Phoenix TV. The interview was jointly held by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China Central Television and Phoenix TV. The program was also attended by ambassadors and diplomats of China and hosted by Doctor Qiu Zhenhai, the famous compere of Hong Kong Phoenix TV. Tang Xiaosong presented as keynote speaker and stated opinions on public diplomacy. He promoted several ideas, such as "China's public diplomacy needs the cooperation of the domestic system", "China's public diplomacy needs to create its own concepts" and "public diplomacy has effect of traditional Chinese medicine and should convey the national spirit". The program will be broadcasted in the evening of September 28th.
It is reported the other experts of GRIIS will attending various academic activities at invitation recently. On September 29th, at the invitation of Japanese Consulate General in Guangzhou and Guangzhou Representative Office of JETRO, Professor Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS, Professor Xiao Yaofei, chief editor of "International Economics and Trade Research", Dai Yanjuan and Doctor Jiang Huaiyu of School of International Trade and Economics attended the illustration meeting of influence of Japanese earthquake with Gu Yeli, the vice president of GDUFS as the team leader. On September 28th, Professor Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS and Professor Li Yongning, director of editorial department of "Studies on Strategic Decisions" and chief editor of "Trends of the International Affairs" attended the third "Lecture of Guangzhou Political Consultative Conference" at invitation in the Committee Conference Hall of the Office Building of Guangzhou Political Consultative Conference.
