On September 27th, Stephen Nicholas, vice president of Newcastle University and academician of Australian Academy of Social Sciences and his delegation visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Sui Guangjun, the Party secretary of GDUFS met with them in the VIP Hall in North Campus. The participants also include Fang Fanquan, the vice-president, Jiao Fangtai, director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Chen Linhan, director of International School, and Li Qing, Secretary-general of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies. The two sides discussed on the research cooperation, Master of International Business and other topics.
Sui Guangjun expressed the warm welcome to the guests and was impressed by the schooling concepts and thesincerityfor cooperation of the leaders of Newcastle University. With the student project going smoothly in the International School, GRIIS had achieved preliminary cooperation plan with the Newcastle University on the project of restructuring research on subsidiaries in China.
Stephen Nicholas expressed the honor to come to the meeting. He briefly put forward two points for the research: it should firstly have practical contributions and work for the long term development of the two countries; it should have strong adaptability to be continued. He hoped it could contribute to major researches through the participation of the leaders and colleagues of both universities and the communications in a high level. Meanwhile, the results will provide information to the policy-makers and inform the business leaders of the problems in order for a healthy development of the policies. He especially mentioned that MBA should guide the students to sign research agreements and build long and beneficial relations.
