In the evening of March 22nd, Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies held the Planning and Discussion Meeting for Research Projects in the 3rdConference Room on North Campus, and made satisfying achievements. The meeting was hosted by Li Qing, Secretary-General of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies. Heated discussions were focused on the topics of “China’s participation in global economic governance”. GRIIS discussed on employing chief research fellows, and the implementation and administration of research projects. Experts and scholars from the School of International Trade and Economics and the School of Legal Studies put forward relative comments and suggestions in the meeting.
The meeting was composed of three sessions: the general speech made by Secretary-General Li Qing, panel discussion and summary session. Li introduced the background of the meeting and arranged the working objectives of this year, stressing that the emphasis of this year was to integrate the efforts of the university to build an appropriate team of talents so as to make high-level research achievements.
In the session of panel discussion, members of the three groups made further discussions on how to conduct research under the context of “China’s participation in global economic governance”, providing suggestions and comments on GRIIS’s work and plans, including the possibility of establishing chief researchers, the implementation and administration of research plans, and methods in researches and surveys.
In the end, discussion results and suggestions were gathered and reported to Secretary-General Li Qing.
