On May 17th, Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies held its ninth Yunshan Academic Salon in room B103, Building 6: Pre-defense for 2012 Special Fund Project for Low Carbon Project of Provincial Development and Reform Commission. Each applicator for this project gave a 15-minute PPT presentation. Then, the audience asked relevant questions and put forward their suggestions. It was a preview for the formal defense of Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
The applications for the 2012 Special Fund Project for Low Carbon Project of Provincial Development and Reform Commission are organized by Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies. The Institute has launched several project argumentations and review conferences and recommended 4 projects to apply for the fund: “Research on the Management Mechanism of Carbon Emission Trading system in Guangdong”, “Relations of Industrial Restructuring and Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction & Research on Strengthening Potential for Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction in Guangdong”, “Guangdong’s Countermeasures to Low Carbon Barrier in International Trade”, and “Research on Emission Trading Scheme in EU and UK”.
