The 3rd Yunshan Academic Salon: Discussion Meeting for the Program of “China’s Participation in Global Economic Governance”

In the afternoon of April 12th, the 3rd Yunshan Academic Salon of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies discussing program of “China’s Participation in Global Governance” was held in Building 9. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Liu Jisen, vice Secretary-general of GRIIS. Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS, and teachers and experts from School of Finance and School of legal Studies attended this meeting to carry out in-depth discussion on this issue.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Liu Jisen introduced some important information about international think tank and its trend, and hoped that this institute could develop toward this direction. In her speech, Prof. Li Qing said that a think tank should have precise position and purpose, as well as research design and core concept.

In the meeting, Prof. Shen Minghao delivered a report on this subject. Based on his research on corporate governance, he upgraded the theoretical foundation from micro perspective to macro perspective, and designed a framework of “global economic governance”, which included three main carriers, four systems, transmission mechanism and etc. Experts and teachers present all gave their own ideas about the subject so as to facilitate greater break and progress on the subject.

At last, Prof. Li Qing confirmed everyone’s effort, answered some important questions, and briefly introduced the work of the next stage.
