From Sep. 23rdto 25th, the seven members of the Innovation Team, led by Li Qing, secretary-general of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies and Chen Weiguang, director of Development and Planning Department, attended a 3-day joint research meeting in Beijing with Prof. Wang Shouyang, “Pearl River Scholar”of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
After hearing the presentation of Chen Weiguang on the development of the innovation team project, Prof. Wang pointed out the problems in the project plan and gave specified suggestions. He asked to answer such questions as “what are the goals”, “what scientific problems should be solved”, and “how to solve them”.
Because of the tight schedual of Prof. Wang, the presentation was arranged from 8:30 to 11:00 in the evening. According to the advice of Prof. Wang, the members of the Team cooperated to revise the overall framework and finished the second version at 4:00 am. In the second presentation at 10:00 on 25th, Prof. Wang highly approved the hard work of the Team. He was satisfied with the revised version and put forward several advice. He believed that the project must be a great success with such a united and efficient research team.
