At the beginning of 2013, the series of research reports on borrowing international experience of constructing business environment declared by GRIIS have attracted great attention from provincial leaders. The “Experience and Inspiration of Building Business Environment in the US” and “Experience and Inspiration of Building Business Environment in Japan and South Korea” are respectively approved by vice governor Chen Yunxian and Xu Shaohua. Vice governor Chen Yunxian commented, “The report is of positive significance for building business environment in involving the five aspects of governmental efficiency, legal system, market mechanism, infrastructure and public security.” Vice governor Xu Shaohua commented, “Both of the reports have evidence and facts and can be used as reference. I hereby suggest the Provincial Development and Reform Commission analyze and adopt them in provincial work.” In the near future, the GRIIS will continue to release research reports on borrowing experience from Singapore, India and other countries.
The research reports acted as an important channel for research fellows to declare their achievements to the government, with the aim to provide the Guangdong government with intellectual support. In 2012, GRIIS altogether handed in 19 research reports and 10 of them have already be approved.
