On the morning of 3rdJune, Professor Sheng Bin, vice dean of Graduate School in Nankai University, Dean of APEC Institute of China and Doctoral Tutor of World Economy, made a special report of “China's Foreign Trade Development Strategy and Policy in the New Period”. In the report, he reviewed and evaluated the development of China’s foreign trade after joining the WTO. He also made some detailed explanations of the opportunities and challenges China would face in the future and gave some suggestions on the strategy and policy of the development of China’s foreign trade. Professor Sheng mentioned many relevant cases during the speech, giving the students a substantial and practical course.

In the afternoon, the scholar in GDUFS also gave an excellent speech. Professor Dong Xiaolin from GDUFS made a special report of “The Transformation of China’s Economic Structure and Development”. With elaborate data, Professor Dong explained the pressure and challenges China faced after the financial crisis. He also gave suggestions on how to promote strategic adjustment of economic structure from four aspects. After the seminar, he answered several questions of the students and the speech gained a good result.
