Entrusted by the leaders of Guangdong province, GRIIS took five projects on the development of Guangdong foreign trade and economies. The projects included the influence of the construction of Shanghai free trade area to Guangdong, the contributions of the development of foreign trade and economies to Guangdong GDP, Guangdong’s attraction of foreign business and investment, the informatization issues during the development of foreign trade and economies and how low-carbon industry influences the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong. On the morning of 26thSeptember, GRIIS gathered the heads of the projects to have a meeting on the research of the projects. The participants had a profound discussion and formed the initial idea about the projects. After the meeting, they would make specific research plans and start to do the research.
GRIIS has already handed over research reports to the provincial government earlier. Leaders of the government paid high attention to these reports and asked to have a profound research about these problems. The time is short and the task is very tough. GRIIS and the heads of the projects would do their best to carry out the research and write high-quality research reports so that they can provide the government with references for decision-making.
