On the morning of 6th September, GRIIS held the Expert Consultation Meeting for the Series of Special Projects of the Policy Study Office of Dongguan Municipal Party Committee at meeting room 304.Sui Guangjun,the Party Secretary of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the executive deputy director of Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies, Li Huiwu, duputy director of Development Research Center of Guangdong Provincial Government, Zheng Jianrong, the deputy director of Foreign Economic and Trade Department, Li Tieli, the director of School of International Trade and Economics, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS and core members of the projects attended the meeting.
Firstly, the host introduced the overall condition of the project and the experts. Then, the person in charge of the project made presentations of the projects.
After that, the experts gave their opinions on the projects. Director Zheng Jianrong appreciated the four policy reports GDUFS had already handed in. He also gave some advice and opinions of his own. Director Li Huiwu introduced the background information of the project to all the professors and gave some suggestions. Li Tieli showed his view on Dongguan from labor market, employees, environment and other ways. Sui Guangjun stressed that government reports should solve the problems of “situation and problems, as well as countermeasures and suggestions”. Different from the academic research, they should be more focused and specific.
At last, Liu Jisen arranged the further work to the other members of the project group. The meeting was successfully ended in discussion.
