The 33rd Yunshan Academic Salon and the 32nd European Forum: Professor of School of Economics of Warsaw in Portland Talked about Guangdong’s Economy

On the afternoon of October 31th, the 33rd Yunshan Academic Salon of GRIIS and the 32nd European Forum was held at meeting room 304.Günter Heiduk, director of East Asian Research Institute and professor from School of Economics of Warsaw in Portland, exchanged his ideas about the “Competitive Pressure for Guangdong Province Economy” with professors, researchers and students of GRIIS. Cai Hong, deputy secretary general of GRIIS and director of Center for European Studies, hosted the salon.

Prof. Heiduk and the participants discussed about the position of Guangdong both at home and abroad and challenges that Guangdong will encounter in its future development. He believes that it is important for Guangdong to attract more talents and upgrade industries in order to maintain its leading position. Then, Prof. Heiduk and the participants had an in-depth discussion on related issues.
