Recently, GRIIS was entrusted by Dongguan Municipal to carry out four projects and gave a project report in the conference room of Dongguan Government Administrative Center. Yuan Baocheng, mayor of Dongguan, and twenty other department leaders attended the meeting. Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS and Xiao Yaofei, Chen Wanling, Yang Xiaoyan, and Dong Junwu, directors of the four projects, attended the report meeting.
In the first half of this year, Vice Premier Wang Yang investigated in Dongguan and pointed out nine important projects. At the end of July, the Policy Research Office of Dongguan officially entrusted GRIIS to carry out four of the nine projects, such as “study on the policies supporting enterprises to ‘go global’” and appointed Party secretary Sui Guangjun as the chief director.

Directors of the four projects are Prof. Xiao Yaofei, Prof. Chen Wanling, Prof. Yang Xiaoyan and Prof. Dong Junwu. A total number of more than thirty professors and postgraduates were involved in the projects.
After carrying out intensive investigations and listening to the suggestions of Dongguan Municipal Policy Research Office, the research groups completed a report of more than 150,000 words.

Yuan Baocheng approved the research results and expressed appreciation to the efforts of the research groups and expectation to more and better advice.

On October 25th, Xu Jianhua, Municipal Party Secretary of Dongguan, made comments on the nine projects. Now, the research groups are revising the reports according to his instructions. All the projects will be concluded at the beginning of November.
