On the afternoon of Dec. 5th, Prof. Stephen Nicholas, Yunshan Chair Professor of GDUFS and Emeritus Professor of University of Newcastle, was invited by MIB Center to give a lecture on Chinese FDI Theory and Practice to teachers and students in GDUFS. Fang Yingsheng, director of Human Resource Division, Yang Li, director of MIB Center and the students of MIB Center attended the meeting. The lecture was hosted by Liu Lin from MIB Center.

Prof. Nicholas analyzed the history, current situation and problems of Chinese FDI. He listed the possible obstacles by explaining FDI theory from the perspectives of system and ownership. Finally, he pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese FDI and the relationship between government policy of China and foreign investment.

In the Q&A session, the students asked questions on Chinese financial system, venture investment and financing. The lecture ended in heated discussion.
