Center for Russian Studies Enhancing International Exchange and Cooperation

Center for Russian Studies of GRIIS was founded in 2011 as one of the earliest center for regional research. In recent years, with the efforts and support of Yang Ke, the deputy director of Faculty of European Language and Culture and Wang Shuchun, deputy director of School of Legal Studies, the Center has made heartening achievements.

This semester, Tololaer, executive director of Russian National Committee of BRICS and Alexey DEMCHENKO, vice Consul-General of Russia in Guangzhou paid visits to the center. Leaders of GRIIS introduced the Institute to them and hoped to expand academic resources in Russian studies with the help of them.

Tololaer said the BRICS were confronted with a lot of opportunities and challenges and there were many issues worthy of thinking about and studying on. He also hoped to strengthen the cooperation with GRIIS.

Alexey DEMCHENKO expressed that Consul-General of Russia in Guangzhou would like to play the role as a bridge to help GRIIS build relationship with Russian academic organizations and government think-tanks.
