Professors of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Compared Chinese and Japanese Enterprises’ Overseas Development

On the afternoon of December 12, the 224th Forum of Great Professors-- “The Comparison between Chinese and Japanese Enterprises’ Overseas Development”—organized by GRIIS and School of Management, for which Prof. Kang Rongping from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences delivered a key speech, was held at Octagonal Building(Bajiaolou) of GDUFS. Lu Jinghui, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of GDUFS, Xu Zhichao, Party secretary of the School of Management, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, and other teachers and students of GDUFS attended this Forum.

At the beginning of the speech, Lu Jinghui, on behalf of GDUFS, awarded a souvenir to Kang Rongping.

Kang Rongping has visited Chinese and Japanese enterprises in more than fifty Southeast Asian and South Asian countries from 2007 to 2010. He also conducted research and made deep analyses on them. He talked about the initial difference between Chinese and Japanese enterprises’ overseas development and elaborated on their general development situation, background, process,and characteristics by comparison.

When he compared the different backgrounds and conditions of their development, he mentioned both Chinese and Japanese enterprises were post-developing with different backgrounds and conditions.

What’s more, he believed that multinationalization of Chinese enterprises was unprecedented, the speed of which surpassed that of Japanese enterprises in terms of process and features.

At the end of his speech, Kang Rongping explained and compared the present Chinese and Japanese enterprises’ overseas development in the context of international strategy and took several famous Japanese enterprises as example.
