Prof. Yang Dali, Director of Center in Beijing of University of Chicago Talked on

In the morning of June 9, the 59th Yunshan Academic Salon was held at the conference room of GRIIS. The keynote speaker is Yang Dali, professor of politics of University of Chicago and director of Center in Beijing of the University of Chicago. His speech is entitled "Governance of Major Powers and the Practice at Home and abroad". The Salon was chaired by Prof. Zhou Fangyin.

Prof. Yang Dali began with the world's 50 most important inventions, extension of human life span and per capita GDP growth. He believed that state governance lies in the realization of the free development of human beings. According to Prof. Yang, the complexity of management and flow of human capital of enterprises provide an example for state governance, which should introduce private management mode, marketing mechanism and internet system to achieve co-governance with the government. Finally, Prof. Yang Dali illustrated the challenges of the China’s governance.

Researchers of GRIIS, graduates and postgraduates of Center for European Studies and other students of GDUFS attended the lecture.
