In the afternoon of September 2, all the members of the Innovation Team of “Mechanism and Strategy Selection of China's Participation in Global Economic Governance” held a seminar at meeting room 304. They discussed about the integration of the research on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road construction with research on “Mechanism and Strategy Selection of China's Participation in Global Economic Governance”. Sui Guangjun,the Party secretary of the CPC Committee GDUFS and the executive deputy director of GRIIS, Yang Aimin, vice president of GDUFS, Chen Weiguang and other members of the Innovation Team attended the meeting, which was chaired byLi Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS.
Chen Weigaung introduced the research on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road construction from two aspects, i.e. research background and research framework plan.
Sui Guangjun made some advice on the research plan and the future research of the Innovation Team. He suggested to keep up with the original intention of the Innovation team’s research and to grasp the significance of the research project. He hoped the team should focus on great-power relations and issues on neighboring and ASEAN countries. He also suggested to hold seminars in order to decide the research issues of global governance.
Then, according to their own research fields and expertise, participants expressed opinions on how to integrate the research on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road construction with research on “Mechanism and Strategy Selection of China's Participation in Global Economic Governance”.
Li Qing said GRIIS would fully support the construction and research of Innovation Team. She suggested that the Innovation Team should be further divided into groups, focusing on different research problems. Moreover, GRIIS will hold some major conferences later this year to figure out the think-tank dialogue mechanism.
