Guangdong Research Institute for International Strategies Attended the ABAC Guangzhou Meeting, Professor Li Yongning Delivered an English Speech

On February 17, 2011, the first meeting of ABAC Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) ended after four days. The ABAC, started officially in 1996, is the standing body of the APEC, which is responsible for creating favorable environment for the development of the business communities by putting forward the ideas and the suggestions, and submitting reports to the APEC economic leaders. It is the first time for Guangzhou to hold such a multilateral meeting. With the continual focus on promoting the prosperity of the 21 APEC members, the meeting will energetically promote the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, encourage independent entrepreneurial behavior, and support sustainable development in environmental protection, energy, food safety and other areas. Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Party secretary of Guangdong Province, mayor Wan Qingliang and other leaders attended the meeting and met representatives of ABAC.
