On 26th April 2013, Cai Hong, the deputy secretary general of GRIIS and director of Center for European Studies, attended the Report Conference of the Economic Situation in Spain and "Spain-- a Country Full of Opportunities”. The conference was held by the Spain Embassy in China and the Council of Spanish Enterprise Competitiveness(CEC) in Beijing InterContinental Hotel.
Valencia, the new Spain ambassador to China, attended the conference and made the opening address. Fernando Casado, the representative of CEC and Aerfolaiduo.Pasto, the economic professor, delivered speeches separately. They comprehensively elaborated the situation of Spain economy and its measures to cope with it. They also predicted that in 2014, Spain economy would recover and start a new economic cycle which could provide important opportunities for enterprises both at home and abroad. The report helps to clarify the misunderstandings from the world about the Spain economy under the center of European debt crisis and to creat conditions to enhance the economic cooperation between China and Spain.
