On the morning of April 24th, Prof. Chen Wanling, reserch fellow of GRIIS and Prof. Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, were invited by the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province to the Seminar on the preparation work for the Free Trade Zone in Nansha. The seminar was hosted by Zheng Jianrong, the deputy director general. Also attended were Chen Yuehua, the deputy director general and people in charge of different departments. Based on the materails at hand, the two professors expressed their opinions on the building of Free Trade Zone in Nansha from the significance, content, policies and experience of other Zones at home and abroad. Zhen Jianrong concluded that the GRIIS should complete the following three tasks: first, it should collect the working methods of other Zones abroad; second, it should deliberate on the policy for the Free Trade Zone; third, it should draw up an outline for the investigation to the Nansha New District.
