Friendship and Meeting of Thoughts
The students expressed their appreciation to the seminar, leaders and experts. They also said that they would value the learning opportunity and friendship a lot.
Huang Ping, the vice-monitor of the seminar and the manager of GuangXin trade group co., LTD said that the seminar had a practical meaning and let the students know more about the emergency of the economic transformation. In the end, he encouraged the students to apply their learning to their jobs and continued to play a positive role.

Zhou Lerong, member of the Standing Committee, vice mayor of Yangjiang and the student representative of the first group fully appreciated the logistical support and curriculum provision of the seminar. He pointed out that they had gained friendship and realized their responsibility to the development of Guangdong economy. After that, he talked about the reflections the seminar had brought to him, including the opening form of Shenzhen, the way of industrial transformation and management of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Luo Shiwen, director of Heyuan Foreign Trade and Economies Bureau and the student representative of another group concluded the gains of the seminar from three aspects. Xie Shubiao, the deputy director general of Xiangzhou district in Zhuhai city said the seminar enlarged his scope and knowledge and strengthened friendship.

After that, Gu Yeli presented the graduate certificates to each group. At last, Liang Tang, the president and secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Yuecai Investment Shareholding Co., Ltd and the monitor of the seminar represented all the students to receive the campus card from Gu Yeli. It meant that all the 47 students became the lifelong schoolfellow of GDUFS.

It is known that the seminar started on 3rd June and the students studied several reports in five days. The report of “The Strategy and Policy of China’s Foreign Trade Development” was given by Sheng Bin, vice director of graduate school in Nankai University, the director of China APEC Research Institute and doctoral supervisor of world economy. The special report of “The Transformation and Development of China’s Economy Structure” was given by Dong Xiaoling, the professor of GDUFS. He made use of a lot of statistics and materials in his speech, explaining the pressure and challenges China would face after the financial crisis. He also gave some advice on how to accelerate the pace of changing economy structure.
The report of “The Development of Europe and Future Strategy of European Union” was given by Dr. Ebermann, the former EU ambassador to China and guest researcher of GRIIS. “The Exploration of Guangdong in the New Period” was given by Li Huiwu, the deputy director of Development Research Center of People’s Government of Guangdong Province and guest professor of GDUFS.
The report of “The Nowadays Situation of China’s Macro Economy and Future Development Trend” was given by Huang Weiping, the doctoral supervisor of People’s University of China. In “The Mechanism and Strategic Choice of China’s Participation into the Governance of World Economy”, Chen Weiguang, the professor of GDUFS talked about the process and strategy through China’s participation into the governance of world economy.
Zhang Yueguo, the student of the seminar and the deputy director of Policy Research Center of Guangzhou introduced Nansha new district and its future development trend. The report of “The Practice and Experience of Hengqin New District’s Reform” was given by Yan Weimin, the director of Management Committee of Hengqin New District.
Pei Changhong, the director of Economy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the guest professor of GDUFS gave a speech on “The Thoughts on Increasing the Level of Open Economy Comprehensively”. Professor Xiao Yaofei, chief editor of "International Economics and Trade Research” and the chief researcher of GRIIS gave a report of “China’s Opportunities, Problems and Challenges of ‘Going-out’”.
