On November 4th, Center for Indian Studies held a seminar on the work plan for 2014, which is chaired by Prof. Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS. The attendants include Song Haixiao, associate professor of Center for Indian Studies, Hu Rui, director of Department of Indian Language and Culture, Ms. Tian Keping and master students of GRIIS.
The work objective, plan and procedures for the year of 2014 are discussed in the seminar. The work in 2014 will be focused on research on India with consideration to the Indian Ocean region and the emerging economies and will also include international cooperation, etc. It was also decided to establish an international information inspection and data collection system.
Besides, Center for Indian Studies invited Prof. Shang Quanyu of South China Normal University, Kang Sheng, associate professor of South China University of Technology and Prof. Cheng Yonglin, expert of GDUFS to have further discussion on November 13th .
This seminar laid good foundation for the work of the Center.
