The Department of Personnel of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Signed a Cadre Training Cooperation Agreement with GRIIS

On January 12, 2014, the Department of Personnel of Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a cadre training cooperation agreement with GRIIS. Participants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included Lv Fan, Head of Department of Personnel, Ni Jian, senior diplomat and deputy director of Innovative Practice Committee and Zhou Bo, deputy director of Division of Personnel. Sui Guangjun,the Party secretary of GDUFS and executive deputy director of GRIIS, Yang Aimin, director of Personnel Department, Li Qing, Secretary-general of GRIIS, Liu Jisen, deputy secretary general of GRIIS, and Tang Guocai, deputy director of Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office were also present.

Before the signing ceremony, Lv expressed his warm welcome to the representatives of GDUFS and approved the contributions made by GDUFS in personnel training and social services. The aim of cadre training cooperation is to make full use of the advantages of both sides to train more professional talents with high qualification for the society and the government, which is a win-win situation.Ministry of Foreign Affairsexpects deepen cooperation with GDUFS. Sui Guangjun introduced the development of GDUFS and expressed the appreciation for the support and trust of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He mentioned that at the end of last year Zheng Zeguang, Assistant Foreign Minister, had been to the university, exchanged ideas with experts and scholars and offered much important information. We have had a clear understanding of the national tasks and responsibilities of Guangdong. It is favorable for Guangdong's further opening-up to participate in the major national deployment and research on the important nodes of Maritime Silk Road. GDUFS will do its utmost to support the cadres from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study, research and investigate in GRIIS.

Lv Fan and Sui Guangjun signed the cooperation agreement

According to the agreement, Department of Personnel of Ministry of Foreign Affairs will appoint one or two cadres of or above Counselor level to GRIIS as visiting researchers for one semester (four months) or two (8 months) in spring and autumn respectively. The work of the visiting researchers involves project research, academic exchange, helping to guide the graduate students, chairing or participating in the project application and research of GRIIS.
