Prof. César dePrado received in 2002 his PhD from the European University Institute (EUI.eu) in Florence with a thesis on Global Political Economy. He went back to the EUI in 2014 as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar in the Global Governance Programme.
Currently heteaches at GIIS a course on the European Union, and is also a research granteeat the Asia-Europe Comparative Studies Research Project of the Institute of EuropeanStudies in Macau.
In hisdistinguished academic and professional career he has been at the EU-JapanCentre for Industrial Cooperation in Tokyo (Japan), Barcelona Institute of International Studies (Spain), University of Salamanca (Spain), University of Tokyo (Japan), College of Europe – United Nations University in Bruges(Belgium), University of Lund (Sweden), European Commission in Brussels(Belgium), Spanish Embassy’s Trade Section in Tokyo (Japan), and KPMG PeatMarwick in Madrid (Spain).
He can lecture inseveral European languages and is learning basic Chinese.
