I.                  DevelopmentMode

We adopt“1+1+1”—three-year development mode based on current post-graduationdevelopment plan and curricula arrangement. In compliance with the requirementsof GDUFS and cooperating American universities, after completing the first andsecond school year, students of excellent performance are eligible to get a half-yearor one-year internship in international organizations such as UN, with theirschool registration status retained. Moreover, they will obtain two diplomasfrom GDUFS and cooperating America university separately.

II.               TeachingPlan

To avoid overlappingcourses, highlight major disciplines and develop high-level professional andprofessional talents with compound expertise复合型专业人才, SIGI formulated a new set ofteaching plans, different from that of post-graduation courses, with itsteaching scope covering politics, diplomacy, economy and trade, management, lawand other disciplines involving China, America and global governance.

1.     CurriculumArrangement

Students need toparticipate in required curricula based on curriculum arrangement of Americauniversity, provided that professional courses in GDUFS have been completed. These courses will focus more on the research and practice ability ofinter-disciplinary fields and mainly contain international economy, politics, law, management and etc..

2.     TeachingManagement

SIGI and Americanuniversities agree upon the following principles concerning curriculaarrangement, location and expert instructors:

(1)   Adopt inter-disciplinarycurricula, including required and selective courses within degree-conferringrequirement.

(2)   Parts of credits aremutually acknowledged with reference to post-graduation credits exchangeregulations.

(3)   Domestic curricula andparts of curricula abroad are open during weekends, the afternoon of Tuesdayand summer vacation; major curricula in American universities are completedabroad. SIGI is in charge of recruiting and selecting teachers as well as thedetailed curricula arrangement.
